PINOY SUNDAY to have its Philippine Premiere at the 12th Cinemanila

Wi Ding Ho, director of Pinoy Sunday, has just won the Best New Director Award at the The Golden Horse Film Festival Awards Ceremony last November 20 In Taipei. The Golden Horse Film Festival is the most prestigious and longest-running film festival of Chinese language films in the world. The film is considered the Asia's equivalent of the Oscar Awards - film luminaries like John Woo, Ang Lee, Maggie Cheung, Wong Kar Wai, and others have graced the glitzy film festival in the past.

Cannes-winner Wi Ding Ho is coming to Manila on Dec. 1, 2010 for the Philippine premiere of “Pinoy Sunday, ” the Opening Film of the 12th Cinemanila International Film Festival. The film will also have regular screenings during the festival, which runs from Dec. 1-5, 2010 at the Robinsons Movieworld Galleria, Ortigas Center, Quezon City.

The film starring Epi Quizon, Bayani Agbayani, Merryl Soriano, Alessandra Da Rossi, is about Pinoy OFWs living in Taipei.

The 12th Cinemanila International Film Festival will be held from December 1 to 5, 2010 in Robinsons Movieworld Galleria, Quezon City. Around 50 international and local films will be screened in a span of 5 days – from the current toasts of the local indie scene to the award-winners and favorites at prestigious festivals such as Cannes, Berlin, Rotterdam, Sundance, and Pusan. The festival will also feature workshops, seminars and master classes.
